Talked to Don last night and set up a hunt for this morning. We deside to met at a park. We met up at 8am and hunted till  ..... I don't even know for sure. Around 4pm.
I found the '46 Rosie at the park.
Here it is seeing day light for the first time in many years.

Then we went to a school. Not much more than some clad was found there. So we decided to try some door knocking. We ended up hunting 4 houses. All turn of the century or older homes. At the first house I picked up the Merc, the 1898 Barber dime and the 2 IHs. The second place just a few more wheats. The third house produced my favorite find of the day, a 1898 Barber quarter!! :yahoo:I also picked up another Barber dime at this home. A 1906 this time.

He's all the keepers!
Including all 18 wheaties too.

Tim, now that's a great pile of keepers. 3 Barbers in a day is just fantastic, then add in the IH's and other silvers....:thumbsup02:

Door knocking is definitely the way to go.

:congrats:

Good job Timmay!! What a super nice pile of silver. I'm glad you were able to get out with Don. It's dry as a bone down here and the heat index yesterday was 112. HH, Dave.

Wow, it looks like you had an awesome day in spite of the heat, Tim! :clapping:

Three Barbers in one hunt makes for a banner day for sure, but two from the 1800s is an extra bonus! Especially the QUARTER! :loveit:

I'm glad you and Don were able to get together for a hunt. (And Alec too!)

Congrats on the terrific finds! :congrats:

Congrats on a great day of hunting. You found a great bunch of quality coins. The quarter was absolutely awesome and the tri Fecta was totally awesome. Alec and I had a good day hunting with you. Although, next time I'm going to start out in the shade , that sun was brutal. :whiteflag:

:congrats:Thanks Al! 3 Barbers in one day would defiantly not have been my prediction. :shame: But I'm defiantly happy with it! :thumbsup02:

Congrats on the terrific finds! :congrats:Thanks Tony! The heat was a definite factor! We took plenty of breaks. At one point I was out of everything I brought along to drink...at least I thought. When I got home I grabbed a shirt off the front seat and out rolls a semi cool bottle of Gatorade! I put it there early in the morning for later and totally forgot about it! :duh: Boy... I sure could've used that during the heat of the day. :bangahead02:

But like you said, that's how it seems to go. The next hunt you'll knock it out of the park! Good luck! :thumbsup01:

Great haul you got there, that's a great hunt with all them nice barbersThanks Todd! I can't complain. It's not very often I get three Barbers in one day. And even rarer is me finding a Barber quarter at all!

Really nice collection of finds! I like how people are posting pics of coins before being cleaned and after....I've started doing that. Nice pics!

I have not pulled a Barber out of the ground in over a year. Then again I have not gone knocking on doors this season either. Maybe it is time I started.

Great Diggs :wow:
