Hey diggers,
I went to an old park I had hunted many, many times a couple years ago. I pulled over 50 silvers from this little park over a 2-year period. It is only 1 city block in size so I figured I pretty much hammered it to death. Went back today with 4 years experience under my belt using the e-trac and found 7 coins all deeper than 8 inches and ringing up like junk. These signals were not like coin signals. Almost like falsing but repeatable. The 1892 barber has a New Orleans mint mark! Thanks for looking and HH, Dave.

An excellent job Dave. Seeing that they did not ring up like a coin should, are you thinking of other signals that you passed on????.

Just think of it this way. If you nabbed them last time, you wouldn't have found them this time and been skunked this time. Plus it gives you more experience what to look for. The last colonial I got only because right before it, I was able to see the readings on my machine each step as Drew went getting his out of the ground. Idr if I thanked him for that part... I def did remember to thank him for having me come along tho. Congrats on the silvers.

Does not matter why you missed them. What matters is that you have found them now.

Those barbers are my favorite coins

An excellent hunt. :congrats:

Congrats on the nice finds. Agree with Don that perhaps you should revisit some more of your older sites!

Way to rescue more silver coins from that pounded park, Dave! Digging those iffy signals really paid off. The 1892-O Barber Dime is a great find!

:congrats:
