got out for the afternoon with a old friend I grew up with and have known forever.cellar hole in my home town .never knew this site was here until Joe told me about it.we hit it today.tons of trash but we each got a copper.his was pretty toasted but i think his was a CT copper as well.the old soda bottle brought back memories from my childhood and cleaned up well.this soda company was awesome! you grab a wooden crate mix and match any 24 bottles with different flavors of soda and take the whole wooden crate home.my copper is a 1786? Connecticut copper & I snagged a 44 merc too.
my CT is soaking in cold peroxide overnight.I hope it cleans up well.
have a great Sunday if you guys get out.
Sunday is a group hunt with Todd & Dan..going back to sites me & todd found last week

Nice that you were able to meet up with an old friend and better that you both scored coppers. Has he been detecting long?

Don't mean to boost that ego but I guess you were right Dan. From the original pics I couldn't tell if it was an '86 or an '85 and the crud on the front I couldn't see the bust. Now it shows the right facing bust which was more common in '85 and...... the date is now more prominent as well.
