A 1910 Wheat cent in pretty good condition. Oh yeah, I didn't have my calipers when I took the pictures so I put a nickel in for a size comparison. ;)

Nice find and yes always check your change, a few months ago I got a 1901 Indian Head in change from a Walmart.

Very cool. Change finds are tough in the debit card age.

I have a small jar of stuff I've removed from circulation over the past 15 years or so. 1930 Merc dime, maybe 10 silver quarters, and an armada of wheaties. Plus since I'm near Canada, lots of their change as well. Banks do a better job these days though, don't see them that often.

Spent a couple years working at a full service gas station when I was in high school back in the mid 80's. The bills and coins people used to pay with occasionally were a testament to hard times for some.

Thanks for the replies. I guess I will keep my day job as my attempt at humor didn't get picked up on. I thought someone on the four sites I posted this would have had some kind of reply about the size reference but I reckon most folks just thought "What idiot puts a nickel in a penny picture for size"!

Great find, and you have me beat by 20 yrs. (oldest wheat I've found in change was a 1930) Yes, always check your change...you never know.

You don't happen to sell marbles do you? Marble people use coins all the time to show the size of a mib in a pic....;)
