Hello everyone! :)

I've been working to get access to this area for two years, finally I received the 'go ahead'. :happydance01:

The area is about 3 acres total and dates back to the late 1840's/ early 50's. On this side (left) of the Mississippi river = dream land!!

I wandered around for about 90 minutes before getting this deep hit -

I never really thought I'd get this one... but I am very thankful I did.

A tough find anywhere, especially so on our side of the river. Although I had another 30 minutes to hunt, I turned off my machine
and headed to my buddy's house to share the coin.

Both Ron and I will be heading back to this site later in the week. Hopefully my buddy will be able to cross the same one of his list too. :crossfingers:

Thanks for looking and best of luck on your next hunt.

Great, great find my friend!!:clapping:

Be expecting a call from me in the next month or so. I've got a spot lined up not from from you and the big river. ;) I'd like it if you could make it.

Joe, nothing like knocking one off the bucket list. And that is a fine coin to find. Many of us are still seeking a capped bust silver. Hope your return trip can produce again.

Huge :congrats:on that keeper

Hopefully there is more to be found at that site. Best of luck to you and Ron on your next hunt there.

That's not a coin I think I'll ever see in my dirt pile. That is a great coin and still looks pretty decent. Great find. WD

Thanks buddy. This one was definitely worth sharing with you all. You are right, left of the Ohio is hard to come up with one too.
It was great talking with you tonight... the site sounds awesome!!!

Congrats!

I appreciate it chief. Hopefully there are a few more oldies hiding there.

It was a bucket list coin I really didn't expect to find Al. She's definitely worn... but still counts.

Awesome Find! Those sure are hard to find. On my list as well.

Thank you Rebel, best of luck to you on your search for one.

I never thought I would have the words Capped Bust Silver in one of my posts. It is surprising and addicting to see what pops up under the next plug.
Hopefully Ron will be able to cross this one off his list too after our next hunt here. This would make my day. By the way... loved your CP Half Dime!!

Hey there Dan. :waving: First thing I thought of when pulling this one from the ground was... "This is one like Dan, Dave and George find out there".

Nothing quite like the beautiful 1825 specimen you found recently. :smitten:

Thank you again everybody. :waving:

Sooner or later you get your coil over one in Wi. There's bound to be one just waiting for your coil to get over.

I'm only about half way West, but I was amazed after rescuing this dime from the ground. Thanks

Wow! Major congrats!

Certainly a bucket list find. With all the large cents and colonials I've found in the last year as well as 8 pieces of Spanish silver I've yet to find a US bust silver coin. Nice find. Color me jealous.
