I got interested from watching videos. Then looked for a good metal detector. I chose a Garrett AT Pro. I now have it and am planning my first trip.

Hey IDigThat welcome to the forum, the AT Pro is a very good machine once you learn the ropes of Pro Mode. In fact, I use it myself ! Good luck on your first hunt and remember this isn't just about the finds this is mostly about the fun. :thumbsup01: HH

Welcome aboard IDigThat. Great name & awesome machine. I use the same & am having a lot of luck. I suggest a while in Std/Zero for awhile, then go for it in Pro/Zero. You are gonna have a lot of fun.

Thanks everyone, I normally have the habit of leaping before I look. This time I am watching the videos and preparing the best I can. Once I get going I'll keep you posted.
