Wow. I do wonder why tho he bothered to go though and notify the treasure trove unit. Although this article does state the finder is compensated with the market value of the items found in that country. Not so sure it wouldn't be taxed at 100% in certain other countries (prob more like 50%). This other article was before the CT scan and gives more of an insight to the detecting series on youtube.
