This is a revised version of my V3 coin and jewelry program 3/27/10

Start with C&J program
My changes are as follows

Disc
VDI accept -80 to +95
Reject -81 to -95 I chose this as to not be accepting any ground, in my area the ground in a 50 mile radius might DC at -84 to -93
Sens RX set to stable or just a lil hotter ,it depends onany EMIand what coil you are using.
Disc 84 in cleaner ground it helps with falsing sorta like the adjustments on the VDI sens on the DFX I feel.Cleaner ground and deeper finds I go up to 92 and put up with a lil more falsing.
All metal 70 to 75
Audio
tone ID
Custom
edit VDI tones
-94 -95 +94 +95 set at 30 for possible deep silver and wrap around but usually deep Iron
-93 to 0 set at 5 and seems to help hearing the ticking
1 to 48 125
49 to 68 190 69 to79 230 80 to 89 245 90 to 93 255
I use lower settings in best data .The higher settings I use 2.5 when looking for deeper silver.
Auto track is turned off GB'ing every 20 mins or so. I use filter 5. Delay is 60 to 100, lower # slower more trashy sites higher # deeper
This is what I have been playing with, my buddy Magic and I have been swapping Ideas back and forth on this set up that I use. H. H. Yazoo

Hi Yazoo, what effect,if any, does setting the discrimination to reject the ground a person is hunting have compared to accepting everything and assigning a zero tone to the undesired VDIs? Will rejecting the ground VDIs instead of muteing them quiet some falsing?

Nice work, yazoo!!!

With your permission, I'd like to add your program to The Book of Jack...with credit to you, of course.

No problem there Lowjiber, go ahead . B.H. I figured that I didnt want to be picking up the ground and make noise of no use for targets. Might not but was figuring maybe it will be quieter. H.H. Yazoo

I've hunted Yazoo's program (above) three times now in southern Nevada. It's really smooth and works great with a 6x10 DD coil.

I wanted to thank Yazoo for his Coin and Jewelry Program. While utilizing it, during the past two days, not only did I find several coins, and an old (mostly) metal toy motorcycle, but I found my 1st ring. As a fairly new Metal Detector, obviously, I was elated.

I was using my V3 with a White’s Shooter 4” X 6”, D2 coil which I had just gotten the night before. The program worked very well; it’s people (like Yazoo) that are willing to share their knowledge that makes this wonderful hobby so much more pleasurable. Thanks, also, to my good friend John (Lowjiber) for helping me get my first customized program installed into my V3; I’ll be utilizing it a lot.

I’ve attached pictures of my finds, nothing special, but to me it’s all great.

Texasboy...Congratulations on your first ring (gold, no less). thumbsup01

The one thing I forgot to tell you was that when you find your first ring, the drinks are on you for the whole forum.

I have added nickles to the 245 tone with 18-21 vdi# makes picking them out a lot better to me.Might want to try it in my program. Yazoo

Yazoo,

I haven't done that because then I get to listen to every pull-tab in the park.
Not listening to them was one of the joys of using your program with it's emphasis
on Tone ID Custom changing.

I have found only Post-WW II Jefferson nickels so far and every one has been a 19 V.D.I.
Rather than admitting more tones into my headphones I have found that nickels vs.
pulltab can usually be decided by comparing SEARCH screen with PINPOINT & ANALYSIS
screens. I don't know if this works for Pre-Jeffersons or not.

Just my Nickels Worth,

I have changed another part of the program,Being that I do not accept+94 +95 or -80 to -95. they are assigned a tone of 0 also.I don't see any wrap around in single freq or best data. Correlate can be a different story along with not normalizing single freqs. I feel these would be the best bets for wrap around to happen. H.H. Yazoo

hey MR, YAZOO'S do you use singel freq or three freqs when hunting

yazoo

That all depends on how clean the ground is. I use both for hunting.Single in real clean ground, best data for most other. Yazoo

Yazoo, this is the deepest program for my conditions here in Eastern Utah I have found to date...it must mesh well with all the dinosaur bones around here! Regardless, it's taken me deeper with the V3i than any others I've used to date. Thanks for your efforts! thumbsup01 thumbsup01

Yazoo, I ran your program yesterday with a few minor adjustments in tones and changed the filter. It is a very cool program,I got a 37' Merc an 1880 Indian at 8 1/2 an 1891 Indian and a 1942 Wheat All in a hunted out park. Thanks for all your effort to help all of us V3i newbee's.

Yazoo, I like running deep silver also, when you say rd 80 would that be around 1 foot per second? Also You say disc out -95 - -94 and + 95 but could get wrap if deep silver...what will you see on the screen if wraps? Will the bars bounce from green to red (+95 to _95? Thank You

Great job V3Kid,Is good to hear its helping. PA As 4 the wrap that is more in Cybersages game,he uses correlate where it appears to happen more.As for discing things out I accept everything and my discing is done by assigning a 0 tone to the VDI's I don't want to hear. If you are thinking you have things wrapping around the VDI numbers would be in the minus side.So if you were wanting to hear a possible wrap target you would want to assign a tone# you would hear to that VDI.
