(( No detecting was done today ))
I was bound and determined that the rain was not going to keep me housebound today. My daughter had been asking me to take her to an old home site I found close to her elementary school. Today was as good as any. I've hunted this place only once and brought home a ton of ticks. I've been waiting on cold weather before swinging it again.
Here's how I found it. It has been allowed to grow for quite a while and now is a patch of woods. Notice the huge tree in the yard.

The old tree was still standing when I first found the place. Caught a good dose of poison oak digging at its base. I was saddened to see this today.

About all that's left is the stone foundation, and it looks to have been dozed a little bit.

I believe this was the front step.

My daughter managed to eyeball a matching set of salt and pepper shakers about 25 feet apart.

It also appears that the lady of the house may have had a green thumb, and her efforts are still blooming.

We found the privy spot and the bottle dump. I believe there might be a few semi old relics hiding here.

On the way home we stopped by another spot I've yet to hunt. It's pretty obvious where the old house once stood. Maybe over the holiday break we'll be able to swing over it.
