I may have stumbled upon my best metal detecting find of 2015,,,,,, already.
I went to the flea market this morning and there were only a hand full of sellers, due to the cold weather. I noticed a detector on one of the tables an walked over. The detector was a new Bounty Hunter. Also on the table was a new Minelab pinpointer with box and paperwork. I opened it up and was happy to find a battery in it and it worked fine as I pinpointed my wedding band. I asked and the guy began to tell me how much Cabelas wanted for them, but I could have it for $100. I countered with $50 and he declined. While keeping the pinponter in hand to make sure it wasn't sniped from me, I mentioned that Cabelas wasn't exactly the best reference and also began talking about the detector. At the end of the conversation I gave him one more play at the $50 offer,,,,, AND HE SAID YES!!!! Woot Woot!! I don't expect to find another at that price any time soon. 2015is starting off to be a good year. Now if I could just find that NIB AT Pro for $250 I'd be set.
