This was found at a home from the 1820s. I believe it was part of a medal where the ribbon ran down the clasp on the back side.

I wonder if it some kind of ornate sash buckle. It's very cool, whatever it is! :yes:

I think it is made of copper. Might have been silver plated.

Yup. Victorian era sash buckle. First time I found a different one I thought it was for a ribbon. Brass or copper...could have been silver plated too.
