RIP Charles Garrett

I've been away from the forum due to the business of life, so apologies if this is a duplicate post of someone else. Didn't see it posted already though.

I just read that Charles Garrett, creator of the Garrett line of metal detectors passed away on April 3rd. For those of you interested, link to his obituary here. http:/www.garrett.com/charles_garrett_memoriam.aspxhose Sounds like an interesting guy.

I saw that posted on another forum. Sad day, he was a pioneer in the hobby. My parents bought one of Garrett's early detectors that he made when his company was still in his garage, and I still have that machine.
