It was supposed to rain this afternoon but didn't. I hit a corn field after work for 90 min and did well. I found my second Liard De France within the last year. After I dug it I thought- 1) darn this button registered really high, should I put it in my containers or my junk pouch?... then on the way home 2) looks like a wiped half cent....then 3) After rubbing it with hand sanitizer for 10 min on the way home:lol:, at a stop light I saw "De France!" ...then I held it by its edges for the rest of the way home  I've been really lucky lately with this 1600s stuff :) Thanks for looking and SEE YOU ON MAY 3RD! The Shoe will be there!!:loveit: Unfortunately, all the pics are upside wrong

The coins from the 1600s don't show up very often. For most of us! Great find

Way to go Drew! Man, you're getting quite good at finding these oldie coins lately. And getting one for only an hour and a half hunt...great job.

Now getting your 2nd 1600's coin is awesome. You must have freaked out when you realized what you had. Did this one come from the same area?

See you on May 3rd.

See you on May 3rd. That's my second 1600s "laird" this year Al, not my second 1600s coin...I found a few others just last year. I just wanted to make that distinction
It was found three towns away from my last liard...they must have thrown those things all over the place

Thank you Al, John, Todd, Jim, and Dan for kind comments. I'm looking forward to hunting with you guys at DINE.

Another awesome oldie Drew :congrats:Yeah, I'm with Dan....if you're gonna keep finding those ancient French liards, you're gonna need a new sobriquet. Maybe we need a contest to see who can come up with the best one for you
