Went back to the 1900 house that last week I managed 6 IH's and 2 silvers from. I was pretty sure that I had picked that front yard clean......boy was I wrong.

Right near the front door I get this 66 VDI (now where did this come from) proceeded to dig and what's in the hole another IH. Well how sweet is that. Took a few more steps and another nice sounding 60's VDI. Yup another IH. Next up was a IH spill of two. Got this VDI of 19 - 23, decided to dig and its a buffalo nickel. Last good find was another IH. They ended up being 1884 - 1887 -1895 - 1901 and one is soaking as I type. Sadly the buff is a no dater.

Also got two skeleton keys (one broken) a set of Ford keys and the remains of a pendent of some kind.

The weather was great and I get to add some more coins to my signature.

Thanks for reading and HH

Just cleaned up the soaking IH and its a 1882

Thanks. After two hunts there, 11 IH's. 2 silvers and a buff.....still not one wheat.

Congrats on the bunch of IH. Did you use just the low frequency this time, like the last time? No wheats? Are you ignoring the coins at 2"? I have no idea why but 80% of the wheats I get are around 2" deep, yet a memorial can pop out at 4-6". Go figure.

Jim, I was digging all coin signals at all depths. Yes I did get some memorial, some at 4-6 inches and some at 1 inch. I ran in regular Hi-Pro and High trash programs.

Wow, there sure are a lot of Indian Heads in that yard! Way to go Al! :thumbsup02:

So, do you feel that the yard is picked clean NOW? :thinkingabout: ;)

I guess you will have to go back again sometime just to be sure. :thumbsup01:

:congrats:

Rule #1 of metal detecting:no matter how many times you comb over an area, there's always more there! Nice job the 2nd time around.

Everybody thanks for the nice comments. Those of you going to D.I.N.E. can't wait to finally put some faces to names.

I do that all the time...about 2 years ago I'm about ready to pack it in at this cellar hole and, on the path, not 30ft from the hole, a place I've been over about 10 times, I find not one but two perfect copper signals!...a few feet from each other. I felt inferior  ...but that quickly passes when you start cleaning all your goodies...right? See you Sunday Al!
