I stopped at a sports field on the way home yesterday. I've hunted this field many times before. It holds old coins. But the old coins are few and far between any more. I did find 2 more wheaties. So I've started digging some of the low tones in hopes for some gold. Knowing that this field has been in use since the 1860's-1870's for everything from the traveling circus to modern day football and soccer games. I figured there has to be some gold out there somewhere. And believe me, there's plenty of low tones to check! :shocked01:

It just stopped raining when I got there. The forth hole hole I dug I seen that flash of gold I was hoping for!! :yahoo:

Here it is all cleaned up!! :thumbsup01:

Unfortunately while I was cleaning it with the toothbrush Jesus fell off the cross.:crying02:

I'll defiantly be taking this one to a professional jeweler to have it fixed! This is one of the coolest rings I've ever found!!
Not to mention it a 14K. Usually if I am lucky enough to find a gold ring it's 10K. AND this one ain't bent either! :yahoo:

As always.... Thanks for lookin' & HH!! :peace:

That is one awesome ring! Is that white gold too? Is that a sifter you have that stuff on? Nice job Tim!Yeah even harmonica reeds. This field has been in use for a loooong time. It sure is funny how those stinking tabs just fall off cans. And yes its my sifting screen. When I get home I just dump my finds bag on the screen and let all the dirt fall into a big flower pot. Then go through everything and sort them out accordingly. I made it out out of 1x3 and some 1/4 inch screen. Works good. :thumbsup01:

Beautiful gold !Thanks Glen.
When I was out there you came to mind, I was wonder how you do it. Digging all those junk signals!
I know you gotta dig the junk to find the gold, but it seems like you have better luck with it than I do. :envious: But now after this find, I'm gonna go back out there and try and cleean up some more in hopes of finding some more of the yellow stuff. :crossfingers: Wish me luck.

What an unusual ring. I love it.Thanks Ron. Thats what I thought to. Pretty unique. I love it! :smitten:
I'm even gonna take it in and have it fixed. Usually I would've just super glued it back together and put it in my display case. But not this one. I'm curious if Jesus is a white gold, or silver? Hopefully the jeweler can tell me.:crossfingers:
