I went back to the yard where I found the 3 silver dimes and 2 IH's a couple weeks ago. It was pretty slow this time. I found a rusted spoon broken in two, a kids' ring like you'd get from a candy machine in the 60's, and a big brass thing.

When I was digging it out I first thought it was a tractor tire from a kid's toy. I figured the metal would be in the wheel. Then I saw there was no wheel and what I thought was the tire was actually metal. I don't know what it is.

Can anyone help?

Looks like a bracelet. Not sure there are some made out if brass, but no where does it say they can't. Esp with that thin rim around the hole and the design. But others may have other input

could be a large "gaudy" brass bracelet , the outside looks to have some type of pattern or design.

Looks somewhat familiar-maybe a napkin holder?

I considered a bracelet, but it's too small to fit anyone but a child, and the rims are sharp. It would be horribly uncomfortable.

then this could be a very likely possibility

Hmm. From the pic next to the ring it didn't look that small. Or are you comparing to your own fist/arm size? I'll take the word it is sharp and possibly uncomfortable. Might be napkin holder just as others said. You found broken spoons nearby. Idk if they would have used napkin holders for a proper place setting if it was a picnic spot, but who knows. Silverware nearby and coins nearby make either item plausible.

You know, the spoon and this thing were found pretty close to each other. Until proven otherwise I will assume it's a napkin ring.

What's a henway dave?
I think it's too big for a napkin ring but I'm usually wrong. :)

Hmmmm.......it looks to me as if there might be a bezel on the edge. It's possible a cover of some sort might have been on that.

Or it could actually be a henway.

It is kind of big I'll admit. But if you eat like me, you need a BIG napkin.
