Well, I keep hitting the sports park each morning on my way home from work. It's not always the best time now as the sun is just coming up and like this morning the grass is tall and heavy with dew so it isn't long before everything is caked in a layer of mud. But hey, it's still getting out in the field that counts!

So this morning I moved on to the next small section near the restrooms guessing there would likely have been more traffic in this area. As it turns out, yes and no. Many areas without a hint of a signal, but others sounding like someone buried a chain link fence! As I discovered, it's what happens when they mow over lots of cans and leave shredded can "slaw" throughout an area. Because of this I only found maybe 50 cents in clad despite tons of digging. But I did have one strange find-another junker ring. Only this time the TID came up as a 12, which is what should be the gold range-go figure.

Really looking forward to tomorrow because my Lesche and a new recovery belt were delivered today from Amazon. Can't wait to try them out!

That's a nice looking setup. Won't look that clean ever again, if it's anything like mine.

For only $12.50, I didn't think I could go too wrong on the utility belt. Figure I can maybe use the water bottle holder as a dump bag for the trash instead of the bigger main compartment. This should be a good setup for quickly getting out in the parks. But, I'm already looking into a bigger upgrade for more serious trips.

Already scoped out a heavy duty 2 inch duty belt and MOLLE system components such as a big utility bag for the back, pouches for finds and a dump bag for trash. This should go very well with hanging my digger and pinpointer as well. I also have my day pack for hauling things like a jacket, extra coil, batteries, water, and whatever else I may need. Probably not much need for food because if I'm lucky enough to get out detecting for the whole day I don't want to waste precious daylight by eating or taking unnecessary breaks.
