Shortened Up Bucket List!

I hit a field Friday night for a few hours, Sat morn for an hour, and today for a few more hours. Odd, I found all the relics (save one wheat) Fri, all the buttons yesterday, and all the coins today. :shocked01: The wheats are all late. The silver quarter is 1962, the IH is 1885, and the MORGAN DOLLAR is 1885?? 1889?? I'm not sure, but I love it! I also like that decorative gag loop!

Great buttons and coins-great find with that Morgan. Must have made the heart race a bit exposing that hunk of silver! Big congrats!

Is this a trend lately to find big silver coins? Nothing much all summer, but lately 2 big Dollars and 2 Halves pop up here.

Nice score Drew. You got on the wagon with big silvers. :cheering: :lol: The buttons are nice but they are throwing me off a little. The Morgan with a ton or wear on it and some early wheats, late IHP, and a Washington makes me think that all the coins were dropped in a narrow time period. But the buttons look older. I'd find it hard to fathom any coins from the 1800s era be dug up already before those dropped, esp when detectors weren't quite hobbyist usage until after ALL those would be dropped.

Very nice Drew! Nice assortment of finds and love the Morgan. I've found a plastic rosette-type thingy myself and yours looks similar. I think some of the more modern rosettes (i.e. 20th century) had pictures in the plastic, which just fadde away with time, or the backs got water in them, obliterating whatever was inside. Not sure.

Thanks everyone! Yeah, John I'd believe that.... a plain plastic with no adornment would seem too modern.
Jim, this place has been a farm field from the 1600s until today. I've found everything imaginable from an indian fur trader pin to shield pennies. I would guess the buckles found this go-round are actually later than the 1800s coins. :dontknow: The reason I'm back at this site is because it was just plowed last spring. I've already been over these areas prior to plowing, but new things are popping up now. Thanks!
Yeah Jeff, I thought it was another can....I dig a lot of them at this place...mostly Bud :lol: The rosette is a regular example, with the places in the back where the iron pins used to be.

Oh so sweet. Huge congrats on that Morgan. If its a 1889, look for a mint mark. The CC is a money coin.....:cheering:
