I put in a few hours at a field I've been hitting with only a clock winder and some buttony type things to show for it. Then I went to check a site to see if the ferns died off. I was there a half hour... mostly digging 12 buttons and a large cent, all in a three-foot area. I was using my pin pointer to get the buttons. The site seems ready  Thanks!

A coat and its contents. That is one of the coolest things I have seen dug in a long time Drew. :thumbsup02:

Thanks guys, I've been very lucky this year.

All that in a half hour!?!:wow:
No, just the 12 matching buttons and LC, the other items were from a different site. The LC is a coronet but dateless, Thanks!

The site is ready? So am I. Nice score, yet again, Drew. Twelve buttons is more like 2 coats.

Congrats Drew! I love it finding a hoard of goodies and only needing the pointer to pluck them out.

I agree with the Rebel...you've just killed it this year Drew! I'm sure many of us would like to see a collage of your best 2015 finds come next January. By the way, when you hit the fields do you find you do as well in the random fields near existing colonial home sites, or only in the fields which one had an old home site on it at some point in the past? Get what I'm trying to say? I'm working on getting permissions to a few of the latter type sites (fields adjacent to existing 1780s/1790s homes) and am wondering if it's worth it or not.

That's the type of sites we all look for!
