Lodge Scent

I hadn't been able to get out in a while so I was happy to join Drew for a quick morning hunt. Last time we had been out we passed a hunk of woods that had potential. Drew did some tenacious research and found evidence that there was indeed an old home site back in there.
He had us on the site after a short hike. Drew still had his mojo working and starting pulling some nice relics in no time from around the cellar hole area. I wandered around a bit and soon hit a pistol ball and then a toasty KG II.

A little while later a got a screamer of a hit but it sounded too big to be a coin. I was guessing it was a big brass relic or some copper flashing or similar so I dug a huge hole so as not to ding whatever it was. I was really surprised when it turned out to be a Fugio at about 6 inches. I've dug Fugios before and none ever sounded like that.

The coin is porous but the obverse has some good detail. Reverse is pretty toasted.

Found a length of copper brake line out in the middle of the woods. You just never know what you might find.

Thanks again Drew!
