Hello all,
Went back to the old church I have been hunting and started going over the rear area. According to the old aerial photos is looked to be mostly unused and still growing wild back in the 1930's, though it is hard to tell. There were some more open areas with big trees that no longer exist. But now it's been turned into a well manicured sports field. So as expected, I didn't find much other than mostly trash, but I did find an odd aluminum tag that reads "U.S. Suspect" with a serial number below it. I did manage to research it and found it went to a possibly sick animal or animal carcass in the meat processing stream. Here's the quote from the 1907 regulations book:

51519

Here's the tag and another partial tag I couldn't identify.

That's another cool thing about this hobby is you dig up some odd object, research and learn and then share with others. Cool find Digger

Yes, very cool to learn something new! I think the research is half the fun, especially when the results are completely unexpected! :shocked03:
