My last post left me at 199 silver for the year and cold weather coming in. Two weeks later things are looking much better on both weather and silver. Avoided rain most of the day today and got in 5 hours. Did some research on a Park with some ballfields and found that one was there in the 30's. Problem was somebody forgot to leave a gate open. the field was completely locked up and there was no getting in. Spent the time hunting the rest of the Park and found a ton of clad 5 wheats, a Washington and a Merc.. That brought my total to 10 silver from my last post and 209 for the year. In the last two weeks I found the Washington, 3 Merc's, 4 Rosies a 1940 Canadian Dime and a War Nickel along with 13 wheats. It's going to get a little colder but I think I should be able to get out the next 3 days as well. I'll take whatever days I have left. Keep swinging Wisconsin Digger. Man that is a lot of silver! Your silver to wheat ratio is awesome. I do not pay too much attention to those kinds of stats but it seems you find just asuch silver as wheats.

Excellent going on the silver! Yes, the weather is holding on the milder side this fall in much of the eastern US. Great news for all.

Impressive results! And over 200 Silvers, :wow:
I've got a place up near Edgerton and was planning on spending more time hunting Wisconsin next season. But between you and Jeff, there can't be much left up there!! :lolsign: Guess I'll stay in Illinois.

Great finds WD. sometimes I wonder if the sites I hit are just clean-up after your visits! Nice total for the year so far, and maybe we will still have a little time before the cold really sets in.

Lots of silver left in Wisconsin Don, One Park I wrote off 2 years ago I have found 30+ silver at this year. Love to hook up once next year but the Southern places have not turned out as well as planned. I'm sure there are a few gems left to the south of me that need some hunting. WD

Not many detectorists can claim 200 silvers in a year. Huge :congrats:on your accomplishment.

I would bet half the Merc's I find are from the 40's. The last 2 days I have found 5 Merc's from the teens and 20's and that is a rarity. Don't know why but I do not find a lot of older Merc's. Thx WD
