At one time coins were made only from gold or silver. Then came coppers, zinc and other alloys. Then came Prime Minister Harper who stopped production of our pennies and saved a little over a million a year that could be used wisely to support his party's parties, senators expense budgets and to bring over more folks and support them.
Now under Prime Minister Justine Trudeau I see fiscal restraint again. Our loonies are now going to be made of tin foil and chocolate. Sort of reminds me of some Marie somebody or other saying.. "Let them eat cake." I have never exercised my civic duty. Praise the Lord I found Buddha today along with quota, a ring, dewies and best of all....piece of mind, freely given to all those that will listen!

Congrats on the Booddie making quota! Yep, I know all about those crappy cheapo coins-used a lot of them in other countries and they feel like fakes. Been a lot of talk here on and off about discontinuing pennies in the USA. There also was once a trial of cheap aluminum pennies back in 1974 which didn't go over well.
