Hey everyone,

I need some help figuring out what this is! It rang up as a coin but after cleaning it off it looks like it could be a button?? Can anyone help me out with this one? I found it in the same area as the colonial shoe buckle and musket balls. Looks like it may have a little design on it. Sounds like a coin when it's on the counter.

Thanks

To be perfectly honest, it just looks like a melted blob of metal to me. They often produce a nice signal.

Yep, looks like a glob of pewter or lead, possibly even copper? You would have to scratch it and find the base color and estimate how hard it it.
