Oh, this was the spot you pointed out to me. I thought Al took you to his field again. It's in great shape. At least the plow never hit it. An 1854 with arrows. I think you need to get a macro lens for your phone for xmas..... lol.

Great to get out with you again. So Lee goes left, I go right.....you can see the results. Huge congrats on that 1/2 dime and thanks for letting me see it in the hole (if you can call that a hole...). 51977519785197951980

I managed a couple of cool items. The last photo shows what I think is a flint from a flintlock. I found the one in the middle and the one on the right is from a Brown Bess (my father was a rev war re-enactor.) I can see some napping on the one I found so hopefully it is what I think......thoughts?

Lee, why do you think there have been so many coins found there? Must have been a gathering spot of some sort. Congrats on yet another bucket lister!

Intriguing.... Last summer when I was down Lee's way I did get something like that. I thought it was obsidian, possibly a broken arrow point made by....a Wangunk. It was the red house a few doors down from this 'field' and I found it way in the back of the yard in the back brush pile area. I only found it because of a big deep aluminum sign near it. Prob was in the dirt that got moved around. I'll take a pic later to see if shape matches up.

Dan....you haven't found one yet? You found the rest of the parts to the gun...

Love the half dime. Was a thrill when I found my first one this year. Mine is a 1853-O.

its been used as an allotment since the early 16 hundreds and i guess they didn't have very deep pockets back then.
the town ploughs it twice a year before they rent out plots for the towns folk to grow vegetables on.
