Alas however it was the only coin of the day. Actually it was only an hour or so before the rain hit this day after Christmas. We should be out playing with our new snowshoes today rather than digging an old foundation. The first tone dug was only ten feet from the car and it was this 1889 Indian Head penny. We were so excited to finally find a decent coin even though it's in poor condition. We collected tons of square nails and some old tack, about 36 targets dug in an hour, barely touched what is to be searched. Hopefully there's more.52106

Nice find, and you broke into the 19th century! Still not too bad of condition compared to some I have seen come out of the ground. :congrats:
