I found this today, at the same place that I found my LC yesterday. Any ideas on it`s age?

I found part of a 6 levers lock not long ago from about the same era. Seems to me that it was some special design that "6 levers" was more complex and harder to pick maybe? A lot of different companies and styles came out around that time.

Nice lock. I'd figure, as well, that it was late 1800s. There was something specific with the 50s or 60s on the recent lock that I found a few months ago. Something about anti-rust. The company had the padlock style maybe a decade or two before that. Yours is before the padlock style, obvi....

Thanks, Yay they don`t make them like they use too. After 100yrs in the dirt ,I think this will still work. I`ve shot it with some WD40, now I need the key.
