Same spot as always, the house site from the 1920's still is spitting coins out as of yesterday!

Three silvers, the most silver coins I have ever gotten in one day. An amazing AU mercury dime, and two war nickels, found right near each other. Also found two buckles, the smaller one I almost threw out because the iron tongue had rusted completely, making it look like a fat nail. The buffalo nickel was found near the other coins as well.

As for the US rosette, I refuse to clean it anymore. I tried to, and the edge cracked, but thankfully it didn't completely fall apart :) I don't know the exact dating of it, but I have been told it could be Civil War to about WW1. Assuming its the latter.

Also, saw my SC button on the banner above this post :D Thanks to whoever did that! :)

EDIT: forgot pictures. D'oh!

Great hunt. Nickels always seem to show up after a few hunts are in. Great finds WD

Yeah, I've been pulling a lot of nickels out of this place recently, mainly because I decided to run all metal mode on the AT Pro. I've had nickels ring up in the 60s-70s in the VDI. Surprising what you can miss!

I'm a huge fan of all metal mode at most of the older spots I detect - which can be quite trashy. Has allowed be to find some great keepers. Love the rosette and yes, that Merc is indeed a dandy one. Congrats.

Congrats on the finds. My nickels come up 52-53 on my AT Pro in WI. Love the US Rosette. That is sweet!

The house site I'm hunting dates back to the 1900's, so on goes the all metal mode :)

I have found so many things at this spot that rang in funny numbers.. I only dig them because they're consistent, otherwise I don't dig. I have found numerous buttons, buckles, bullets, and other relics that way.

Thanks for looking and HH :)

I have dug war nickels at other spots that show up at 52-53, but at this spot they can go from 50-72 VDI. Even regular nickels show up around 50-60 VDI!

Thanks for looking and HH! :)
