Doing some organizing of past finds and I recall when I dug it wondering if this might be an arrow point fashioned out of copper by native Americans. It looks very old to me and doesn't look like it broke off something else, but who knows. Any experts able to ID this for me?

Oh yeah! I think Del has dug a bunch of these. Kettle points I think??? Anyway, looks like a great historical find. HH, Dave.

wow that is small but it still could be a brass "kettle" point from around the "contact" period , from the early 1600's to about 1670's .

sometimes they made small points from what ever what was left of the scraps of kettle , here is a small one i found at a 1650's era native village .

Great find whether a kettle point or not. Certainly looks very old.
