Morning silver dig and another first!

Hi all,
I have had a permission at a coworkers 1942 house since last fall but due to many reasons I never got out to his place until today. He swore that I wouldn't find anything-he figured if he didn't find anything while putting up a fence digging post holes the place was barren.
Well, he was WRONG! I started in the small back yard. On on the very first swing I got a solid 12-44 at 6 inches. Love and behold I pull out my first SLQ! Worn pretty smooth and no date of course, but that's another one off the bucket list. Overall it was a sweet yard. Only a couple clad but giving up 8 wheaties(oldest being 1919), a 1951 Washington quarter and a 1946 rosie. Also got a wick holder section from an old hurricane lamp, a key, and another ring. Pretty good for a small yard! The coworker says now maybe I can do his dad's yard down the street soon too. Let's hope!

Also found 3 old garden hose nozzles

Huge congrats on the SLQ, worn or not they are a great find. Great pile of keepers....:thumbsup02:.

How does one lose 3 hose nozzles?

Congrats on the SLQ. Those things seem to be popping up all over this season. Great job.
Three silvers from one yard :clapping:

Good Luck at his fathers house!!

Wanted to add another photo. Cleaned up this item and found it to be a wick holder from an old oil lamp. I have no idea what the other piece is. It's threaded on the bottom.

Chris great find on the SLQ. Also, remember to look it over good after a month or so as it seems some times some of the date start to show. Nice finds. WD
