The Cross passed through a Crown symbol is the key emblem of the Royal Black institution ,(a sister organisation of the Orange Order), a Protestant fraternity, with structural and symbolic links to Freemasons (knights of templar were symbolized by a red cross) also is seen by some to be a Christian symbol appearing in many churches, particularly Roman Catholic; and has also been used in heraldry.
Hello Makaluta , welcome to the forum. Please can you describe the reverse or post a picture ?

Roger , Yours had what looked like the remnants of or the brazed spots of the metal bar or attachment of a horse rosette (minus the lead back) . It has the size consistence to one as well.
