Oh the last month or more has been pretty slow for me. I have not detected quite as much as I typically do but even when I am out I still have had a tough time waving my coil over a silver or any old coins really. Even Wheaties have been hard to find.

Last Friday I visited a spot I have pulled lots of silvers in the past and managed a 1964D rosie. I don't think I have been happier to find a 1964 Rosie before. Also found a small silver ring that day too. Found my 9th marble of the year, a 1903 V nik, and an Epilepsy Asso. Token.

The previous week I visited an old park and managed a 1930 Buff and a couple Wheaties. I also found a small locket and when I saw it I thought that I would just save it til I got home to open it. I have found maybe 6-8 compacts over the last few years but they never have anything in them. But when I got home I opened it up and saw a 1919 wheatie in it....kinda cool! Would have been much cooler if they left me a barber dime or even a merc on the other side though.

I have been out looking for morels this time of year so here are a couple pics for those of you who enjoy them too... My kids love trekking through the woods after these guys.

Once find Jared! That morel looks tasty! I saw several today, but the critters got to them first.

Way to hit on the silver but the Morel picture is the nicest. My son is an addict picker but Pop's is at the bottom of the list so I am still waiting for mine. great finds and eats. WD

Congrats on getting out of your silver slump. It's not to often that anybody gets anything in a compact.
