Hi all! My names Chris and I run Lets Go Digging in the UK!

We organise events for detectorists every Sunday throughout England and Wales. Unlike any other group, our events are weekly and nationwide, always on new, undetected land. We are also a limited company which is very unusual for a detecting group but our membership has been growing so fast we decided to take it to the next level. We charge £20 per annum for our membership and from this we donate to a fantastic charity, the Make a Wish Foundation, a charity also in the USA (Make-A-Wish® America (http://wish.org/)), we offer our members a free loyalty card which they can earn free digs and we have negotiated discounts with metal detectors and accessories for our members.

Our events always have catering on site, a finds tent and everything you would expect from a good, well run group.

If anyone is ever in the UK on vacation, we are only too happy to welcome them to one of our digs as a guest member, it just takes a short message through our web contact form. Our website, www.letsgodigging.com is updated every week with pictures of the finds from the precious Sunday's dig in our gallery and our events are shown on the events page.

We welcome members from all over the world as fully paid up or just registered members so if you would like to register for free, it takes just a few minutes.

I hope to be building a new communication platform on the website later this year which will have a country flag and a chat section so everyone can compare finds, discuss their detecting experiences and anything else they wish to chat about. I recently spoke to someone in Japan who is detecting there, so many places worldwide we don't think about where the hobby is being carried out.

I hope you take the time to have a look at my site and look forward to some of you coming to the UK and joining us for a day!

Chris
