So over the last few days I've been swinging at an area my father is soon to be developing. The site has an abandoned house from the early 1900s with a ton of farm equipment left over!

My very first dig was a 1918 Mercury dime, my first one ever!

I was quick to notice all the real amazing FULL farm equipment left out to decay. Some real neat things out there however this tractor was the coolest.

There's no way we could just let this sit out there forever, it was in too good of condition. We ended up freeing the wheels which were grown over by roots and eventually rolled the entire thing through the woods, up hills, down a graded slope, and finally onto the construction site we were parked at. Threw that baby in the trailer and took her home to preserve!! Gonna make a terrific lawn decoration!! http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160716/2bcb22429f0047a703243988b3dd6c65.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160716/3e4ec1f69eb43f578b751a73a25230f0.jpg

Your description of its exit from the woods sounds like a lot of work but she looks well worth it. Some people collect tractor seats, does yours have any writing on it?

Also congrats on your 1st merc dime.

That is a great recovery. Glad you could save it.

Amazing find and recovery. What did it ring up as, LOL! Are there patent dates on it so you can determine the date? Might be some $ for that.

Owen , the vintage farming machinery was a great save from its neglected abandonment :perfect10:
