The heat today was a tad too much for park hunting, so instead I hit a local swimming hole for a few hours. It sure felt refreshing to be neck deep in water. I managed to scoop up three silver coins, a 1918 Walking Liberty half, a 1943 mercury dime, and a 1950 Roosevelt dime. The only gold, but a very nice piece, is a 14kt signet ring.

This was the only nickel I picked up during today's hunt, but it's a keeper.

Old religious pendants do abound at the ponds and lakes.

The water sure makes those nickels look interesting- Also adds some texture to the silver it looks like. Another good hunt!

Love the coloring on the Buff! Joe got a coin with that kind of coloring the other day, but I can't remember what it is.
Nice pieces. And gold always looks so good.

And this one is from a different lake too. It's great seeing the large disk at the bottom of the scoop.

3 silver coins? But that gold ring sure does make up for it ;) Nice half, but I still can't get over how bad silver looks and how good nickels look  I wish all my Buffs looked that nice. Then I wouldn't mind finding them. 3 more for the pile :thumbsup01:
