I was watching a show with Bronze Age warriors doing battle and it made me wonder...
What happened to all the bronze battle gear that was left behind on the battle field. I suppose scrape metal people came around and collected their share. I imagine the iron gear rusted out long ago. Any gold and silver would not break down and would still be there. But what happened to all the bronze?
I have collected a lot of brass and it does not seem to break down. Does bronze break down over the centuries?
