I went out for a brief 1 1/2 hour hunt yesterday at a site just down the road from where I live. Supposedly an old school house once stood on this site. Finds were few, but I did get an interesting token.

Here is the last remaining original structure in the tiny town I live in, the old general store in Trimble, Illinois. The roof caved in earlier this year. I doubt if she'll be standing much longer. :crying01: The old school house site is just to the north of this building.

Great token Tony! I think it is better than finding a merc. HH, Dave.

Crazy -- I found the exact same token at an old school house in NW Wisconsin. Thought I had a deep half dollar!

Nice token Tony (sounds like a new handle). One of these years I hope to fix up a display of tokens I found but always have trouble rounding them up. Nice photos as well. WD

I have that token in great condition. I researched it when I found it, and I don't think it had much monetary value.

Nice Depression-Era token Tony! The uniqueness of those older tokens outrank many an older coin in my book. Congrats.

Cool token Tony! Hey, do you know how to get that green hard stuff off? I have a coin with that on it and just left it alone. :clapping: :congrats:
