Not much to show, but it's probably going to be a while before I get out again.

My first find of the year was a 1926 buff that I dug just before the freeze.

My second was a 1903 V nickel that I chiseled out of the ground in a wooded area that I hunted yesterday.

Congrats on those nickles, both look to be in nice shape! Hope we get the thaw this week as predicted.

Congrats on these findings! Do you have any tips to share with everyone! I just bought a metal detector (http://www.kingdetector.com/professional-c-3.html)and I'm about to start my journey of discovery.

Very nice!! I bet with this warm spell you can get out again over the next few days. I have been able to get out but have not found much. Anything we find this time of year is just a bonus.

Two good looking nickels Don. A soak in some Worchester sauce will probably do them some good. HH, Dave.

I'm jealous as I don't think I'll see any thwed ground anytime soon. Did catch a bunch of small perch on some frozen water last Saturday though. Great finds Don. WD

Hope the cabin fever isn't setting in yet. Nice score on the nickels, tho. Ground is off an on freezing here.
