I spent this morning working the shallow water at an old swimming hole trying my best to find the 17 silver coins I needed to make the 700 mark, but I fell short by four. Now I am hoping to make up for the shortfall during tomorrow morning's hunt - if the weather holds up that is.

This was a wonderful sight at the bottom of the scoop. The 18k band is from the early 1900's

This Barber half too had me smiling. It's a common date, but large silver is always a welcome sight. :happydance01:

The Standing Liberty quarter is dateless. It took a bit of bruising from the pebbles as I attempted to retrieve it. The marks are mostly a rubbing off of the sulfide though.

Six mercury dimes and four Roosevelt.

The thirteen silver coins together.

The buffalo nickels are dated 19??, 1919, 1923, and 1927.

I like this old sterling silver locket. I believe it's my third such locket this year.

And lastly, four more religious pendants.

Those silvers look a little better than some of the others from the water, and that ring is to die for :smitten: Congrats :thumbsup01:

 Four more religious pendants... You are the most holy person I know now :clapping:

Beautiful ring. :loveit: Haven't seen one that nice in years.

That Barber Half sure is sweet too :smitten:

Nice amount of silver. I take it you went back to the lake that gave you all the halves that time? Great hunt Angel.

Some of that silver came from the sandier part of the swimming hole, and they were at some good depth too. There is not much in the way of heavy sulfide on them. I wish they all were like that.

 Folks use to wear those religious pendants for protection apparently. :thinkingabout:

Yes, it was the same lake, but a slightly different section. I was pleased to see that the Barber half was not heavily tarnished, but the ring is what got me dancing in the water.
