Can you ID this Copper?

Hi Friends,
This is the coin I found recently on my trip to CT. It is VERY toasted with no discernable shapes. I can only make out a couple letters on the rim. It looks like HA L or HA E and further around the rim is a K. These are the best pics I could make. Thanks for your help, Dave.

could be any of the various half penny tokens Dave , is there any other detail to it and is it larger or smaller than a large cent ?

Yes Del, I think you may be right. HALF PENNY TOKEN certainly fits! Now just to find one that has the words around the rim. As for size it is 29 mm (same as DB LC)

Thanks Del. Looks like they all fall into that War of 1812-era coin shortage that plagued the crown. We will never know which one it is but I feel pretty confident saying its a toasted half penny token now.

Many were late 1820's to 1830's era bank half penny tokens too , both from Canada , Nova Scotia and here in this country . These were a bit more common that the older types .

Thanks Del for all the help and info. I hope you never leave this forum! Best wishes and HH, Dave.
