Hi all,
I stopped after work this morning for a short scouting hunt to check out the ground conditions and get a feel for the new permission I got.
Found out very quickly it's going to be a really tough site. Like the typical park it has a lot of trash, but it's also really loaded with iron from a building that used to be there. I switched over to my open screen program I use for cellar hunting and it started to pay off quickly. I wasn't there a couple swings and dug a 1923 wheatie. After that it was some clad and one more wheat by the end.
I had the idea before headed out to try a few swings at the lip of the ravine and got an ear blowing 12-48. I was thinking another buried crushed aluminum can, but couldn't resist. At about 3 inches I saw shiny chain links. Thought it was just another dog chain, but when I removed it I realized it was a very heavy chain bracelet. Checked the latch and sure enough it's stamped Mexico and .925!

Yeah, I was very surprised to see the .925 stamp, and then after cleaning that the latch still works! Only damage seems to be a safety link along the side of the latch is missing. Looked up similar bracelets being curious and found them priced new from $165 to well over $300! :shocked04: (one similar designer bracelet listed for $1000)
The only letdown was the wheatie being a 1923. At first I thought it was a 1922 without the mint mark which is a key error coin and very high value. Starts at well over $700 in G4 condition.

Thanks everyone! Certainly been lucky with the bracelets like Dan said, and amazed to see both to be banner worthy. :yahoo: The plan is to spend a whole day out at that site this weekend and really hope to see some seated and old coppers.
