Hey guys! I am going to be heading to New York to see family and I was wondering. On average, how many silver objects do you get a week? In Southern California it's hard to find old paces to metal detect because almost everything is modernized every year, very few late 1800's parks.

That's a loaded question for sure. If you do diligent research to find older sites, have the right equipment for the job and the expertise to run it, and then are lucky enough to be the first to detect said site, your odds are much higher.
That said, it often comes out to luck of the draw whether or not you can put your coil over the right spot. Also, it's not too uncommon to be on a "newer" site and find the odd piece that far outdates the site.

That's a loaded question for sure .

It sure is , location , location ,location ! I may only find a few pieces of silver a year but they are usually pretty old coins . I could find more silver coins (1900's silver coins) but they wouldn't be what I'm after .
