Hi-De-Ho fellow detectorists! I was able to get out to the old zoo for about an hour on the way to work. Lots of clad, but working a really trashy area paid off. Scored a nice merc and another sterling ring.

I'll have to spend a lot of time in this area and work it really slow. Even the clad are tough to find because of the trash, but I'm sure there's lots more hiding here.

Great job! Yeah, go slow, and if you have one use a small coil, say a 4 incher. I do that at trashy cellar holes and it's payed off nicely.

I would like to use the small coil, but unfortunately any older coins here are way too deep. Even the 11 inch coil often just catches only a peep especially on the dimes. Using the 17 inch coil in cleaner areas I've caught z few goodies last year over a foot down. Probably the depth is the only reason they were still there.
