Flintlock Hammer

Found this a couple of weeks ago and threw it in my pack. I didn't know what it was at the time but I thought it might be worth cleaning. After I wire brushed it (top photo), I realized what I had and put it in my electrolysis bucket for a week or so.

I worked at it with a dental pick every couple of days as it began to take shape. Finished it up with a bit of dremel work and was pretty pleased with the results.

There is cool stuff under the rust sometimes!

That does look close Dan! There's the French Charleville muskets from the 1760's that are close too.
