August 12, 2017 – This property has produced many musketballs and a few coins in the past. For the first time in many years we can detect the east side of the field. This hunt produced 4 musketballs and a toasted copper. Last week my cousin and I pulled out about a dozen balls and a couple of buttons.

One of the musketballs was clipped by the sod cutter.

Thanks Noah, Me Too!

It has been! 43 acres, fairly clean, easy digging, and a mix of colonial up to mid-1800's (old canal near by) targets. Hoping to find a rev war encampment but we haven't put the coil over it yet.

Chief, I'm not sure I could handle a site like that. No trees, no rocks, no briars, no branches, no vines. Not sure I know how to walk in straight line anymore either.

With all those musket balls, I bet you are close to something special !

A site that produces that many musket balls along with a copper.....I'd be all over it.
