Hi all,
Started Friday morning at the virgin park site. Unfortunately it's really starting to dry up. I only managed a rusty cuff link, a dented button ( I think), a 37 wheat, and some odds and ends.

Sunday I got out for a few hours at a couple old farm cellar holes I've been working. This time I tried a new program using the high trash mode and lots of discrimination. It worked great finding the good stuff in between the iron and junk.
No coins yet, but I did manage a big hunk of brass, some stamped brass pieces (hair pieces maybe?), a big buckle, and an 1889 watch case cover. Unfortunately digging through heavy roots the shovel skipped off a root and hit it.

Then it was off to the second hole. Nothing good in the immediate area, but a swampy area that is usually full of water was dry enough to walk on. Here I found a couple old bottles and a silver plated bracelet.

Lastly, on the way in to work today I stopped briefly at the old zoo again where I popped 3 wheats. A 1950D, and 2 1913s, one of which looks to have a planchette error. ( flat on the right side.

One bonus, at the store I got a worn silver 1945 quarter out of the self checkout change return!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170912/b4025546ef5549c260ad800adf93f391.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170912/e758b01af36e996d6a1332567a32aee5.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170912/dbcb1bb074b74e3907188ae8da15e7de.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170912/9e0426c999e274278a2b46c2cc09187a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170912/ea9d2ecb0a28e3d325bdac30e709f623.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170912/a93eead9b52cfa846726e0b3d72ff262.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170912/f8a516ec6728845ed07d70abfab4b9ae.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170912/e6ce9ac8694f94b70c236cf5b7ac8fac.jpg

Nice group of finds. The 1913 is what I believe to be called a cut planchette.

Actually the term is "clipped" planchette. Since its so minor, it's still not worth much more than the standard coin.
