A few hours yesterday and this morning netted TWO old dog tags. A 1951 and a 1900! The second may be a 1908, 1909, or 1906 but I'm going with 1900 :) Two newer aluminum tokens, an 1898 IH, and some colonial pieces rounded out the weekend. HH everyone!

That is an oldie. Congrats Drew.

Speaking of oldies, I've reached out to a couple of folks at the Fall River Racing Pigeon Club on their old band that you found but I haven't gotten anywhere. My father in law was a big racer at that club. I found some records of his showing race results going back to 1950. He was racing in the late 40's when he got back from the war. That would have been something if that band was from one of his birds.

That's very kind of you Drew and if I ever match up that band number to one of his birds, I will let you know. But I bet you back in the 40's there was probably well over 100 lofts in the City. So the odds of it being one of his are pretty slim anyway. But thank you for the offer !

Congrats on the old dog tag, Drew! Rarely do we see one that old!

Thanks for your concern Drew . Lotsa smoke here Drew and there is a possibility my Son and his family may have to vacate their house in Fairfield ( the same with his brother in law and his family who live near him ) . Another family I know are in a more precarious location in that town also . It's scary times Brother .
