I took today off and went back to the field that's been just coughing up great stuff. Today was another great day, 1893 Barber Quarter, 1806/07 King George III Halfpenny, 1879 Indian Penny, a wheat penny, a bunch of buttons, a pendant, a lead bell, a buckle and a clad dime.

after I cleaned it with a baking soda paste and some soft rubbing:

the 1806/07 King George III Halfpenny (next to a test bed coin I had purchased last year).

Large button (a little bigger than a 1/2 dollar). I looks like a design, but can't find anything on Google that looks like it.

A lead bell with writing on it, but I can make out all the letters.

Love that Barber quarter! The lead bell is unusual, can't see that making much noise. Congrats on some great finds!

I wonder if the lead bell is another Independence souvenir!

Looks like you've got a great field there! Congrats on the assortment of finds. Agree with D_O'D, not sure how that lead bell would ring. Perhaps decorative?

Congrats on some great keepers. Not really sure of what that lead bell would have been used for???
