Got out with Frank yesterday and nabbed my 1st copper for 2018, which is almost completely toast. I do see some letters but too far gone to ID. Nabbed the shoe buckle a few weeks ago as well well as some misc finds from the end of 2017.

Congrats on the early season finds! Could the complete buckle be a knee buckle?

I have no clue on the coin. Maybe there's enough detail for Dan to ID it?

I like the dated tag! Does it say 1910 or 1916? What do you think it is?

:congrats:

Thanks Tony! Perhaps a knee buckle, didn't think of that. It's a 1910 Dog tag & my oldest one.

Congrats on your oldest dog tag. They are a favorite of mine, always welcome in the keeper pouch. Yeah that coin is pretty toasty.

Nice finds and congrats on your oldest tag! Glad you could get out this time of year. The only digging in my area involves moving the white stuff to find the car.

Its nice to see you on the board Roger !:cheering:Also to see you and Frank tearing up again , the copper is an interesting one and looks "out of the norm" to me for some reason I just wished it had a bit more detail to id !I believe your buckle is a type of adjustable vest or trousers type (slightly different variation) bet it sounded good ! I hope to see more of the Roger & Frank duo soon !

Thanks Guys! Frank & I will be tearing it up as long as the snow doesn't get in the way :ticked:. In some spots the ground is pretty solid & I have to chop away at it till I'm down about 2" and then it gets softer.
