Noah and I drove a few hours south Saturday to get away from the 8 inches of snow still on the ground by us. It took 3 hours but we found a town that was old and snow free.

We hunted most of the day and unfortunately it was slow going most of the day.
Here are Saturdays finds:

I found this car pin and thought it was aluminum when I first dug it, turns out its Sterling. I have had no luck finding any info or age on it, but it's still cool.
Has anyone ever seen one like this?

The next few houses produced a Rosie, A sterling ring, a Totem tag, a religious medal and at the very last house, a 1909 Barber Quarter. For the amount of time we put in, I was hoping for more coins, but all in all it was a pretty good day after all. Thanks for looking.

Nice early season finds Don! Still waiting on the snow to melt up here...just another few weeks! Sterling pin certainly looks older, likely turn of the century given the very early car model on the front.

No matter what the weather, you can't keep a good digger down. Nice hunting and of course you found some silver....:thumbsup02:

Very nice finds Don! Congrats on the silver finds, and I like that totem pole tag too.
Honestly, I'm ready to drive most anywhere just to swing again. Unfortunately due to unforseen circumstances work is down an electrician now and I'm working 7 days a week, 85 plus hours.

Great finds Don. I must say I like the motor carriage pin the best though. I could not find one like it anywhere on the internet. Best wishes and HH Dave.
